| Video Discription | Salt Flat was a small Texas town right next to the large Salt Lake and near the foot of the Guadalupe Mountains. From YouTube Account Bus Driver "Hey! My dad owns the old stone cafe. The deed is from the Spanish Crown. The Salt Flats have the greatest historical death count in the history of the US during the salt wars of the Mexican-American war. There used to be another building to the west of the stone building, but it burned down. The little house? That used to be owned by George and "Chink" Temple. They moved away when I was about 6, but remained pen pals with my mother until their death. The bathrooms weren't outhouses, but fully functional with toilets. They had gravity tanks and pull chains. There is a well on the property with the stone building also. The stone building is older than the Salt Flat Cafe, dating back to the days of the Butterfield Trail.
