| Video Discription | -Snow-Tac Hollow Handle Survival Knife #03 Model 23 Storm the 5160 and 01 tool steel I use is made in USA, the 80CRV2 tool steel is made in Europe I get it from Alpha Knife Supply AKS-USA More information below on the steels and survival tube handles I'm currently using to make these hollow handle survival knives. Specs: -80CRV2 Tool Steel -Handmade Knife blade 7-3/4" blade drop point stock removal with water cooling process -1-3/4" tang total, 1-1/2" tang insert with titanium cross bar system for superior mechanical hold -Blade thickness .220 -Blade width 1-1/2" - 5020PSI liquid cold welded tang insert once it dries it never loosens or gets loose! You'll have to cut the handle tub to remove the blade. -300 STAINLESS TUBE is a heavy duty thickness 300 series stainless steel that is knurled on the grip. You can leave this as is or wrap the handle for athestics with thin nylon colored cord. Caps are aluminum. LANYARD END CAP is a solid aluminum cap with lanyard loop milled into the end. You can grind this off if you chose or put you a lanyard on your end cap. -The tube is sealed with rubber washers included with the end caps. These have tested water impervious to 50' feet. you can it run over with a tank. (well a small tank probably) -TUBE dimensions are: Tube OD: 1" Tube OAL: 4" Tube OAL with caps on: 5.25" Tube Thread: 7/8"-18 thread -Blade specs....aggressive scandi hollow grind down to zero=STRAIGHT RAZOR SHARP!
