They were placed in institutions where they were striped of their proud native heritage. The Sherman Indian School in Riverside, California was one of these institutions, and in the first 5 decades of its existence, over 60 children passed away. They were buried in the school's graveyard, far away from home and family. Come walk with me and uncover a troubling chapter of American history.
