| Video Discription | In an apparent attempt to corner the faction led by former CM Uddhav Thackeray, the Shiv Sena, led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, has issued a whip to "all" of its members to remain present full-time during the budget session of the Maharashtra legislature, which began on Monday. Shinde and 39 other MLAs staged a coup against the party leadership in June of last year, leading to the fall of the Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi administration. The Shinde-led coalition just received the "Shiv Sena" name and the "bow and arrow" election symbol from the Election Commission. Rahul Narvekar, the speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly, claimed on Thursday that he had no representation from any group claiming to be a separate party in the Lower House amid the Shiv Sena controversy. According to the Speaker, there is only one Shiv Sena with 55 MLAs, commanded by Shinde, and Bharat Gogawale has been designated as the party's top whip.
