| Video Discription | Drumstick Potato Curry recipe - Ingredients - 3 tblsps oil 1/2 tsp mustard seeds (Rai) 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (Jeera) 1 tsp ginger paste 1 tsp garlic paste 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing) 2 tsps Kashmiri red chilly powder 2 tsps coriander seeds powder (Dhaniya powder) 1/2 tsp cumin seeds powder (Jeera powder) 1 tomato finely chopped (1/2 cup) 1 1/2 tsps salt (or as per taste) 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi powder) 1 tblsp heaped chickpea flour (besan) 1 potato peeled and sliced lengthwise 2 drumsticks chopped in 2.5 inches length 1/2 tsp garam masala powder 1/2 tsp sugar 2 tblsps coriander leaves 1 tblsp jaggery (gud) 1 kokam Method - 1) Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add Rai. As the Rai crackles, add Jeera, garlic paste, ginger paste and sauté lightly. Add hing, red chilly powder and mix. Add Dhaniya powder, Jeera powder and mix. All these ingredients are to be added and sautéed on low flame. 2) Add chopped tomatoes, salt and saute till the tomatoes get soft. Add Haldi powder, besan and mix. Sauté for few seconds. Add 1 1/2 cup water. Cook the gravy till 1 boil. Add potatoes and cook for two minutes. Add 1/2 cup water more. Add Drumstick and mix. Add gud, kokam then close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook till 1 whistle. 3) After the cooker cools down, switch on the gas and add garam masala, sugar (optional) and coriander leaves. Mix and serve hot with roti or parathas. |
