Two AI tools were used: 1) Topaz Video Enhance AI. The software provides AI based solution for enhancing the resolution of (low quality) videos. I used this tool to increase the resolution from the original 480*360 to 960*720, i.e. HD quality. The effect of the tool is beyond amazing and Topaz Lab offers free trial (for the first 30 days I guess). You can find more details and download the software here: https://topazlabs.com/video-enhance-ai/ 2) Open source AI black and white video coloring solution. I used Deoldify. You can find the details on github here: https://github.com/jantic/DeOldify. You could run Deoldify with Python on your own PC (which needs quite some efforts to set up the correct local environment and debugging), or simply run it on Google’s cloud based machine learning environment Colab. You just need a google account to access Colab, it is virtually free.
