Starla (Elizabeth Banks from the Hunger Games), becoming suspicious over the changes in Grant's (Michael Rooker) appearance and behavior, goes downstairs and discovers plenty of dead animals. Panicked, she makes a call but sees Grant behind the door. She rushes to escape but Grant appears at the door, asking her why she is afraid. She screams and he realizes that he cannot trust her anymore. He attacks her and starts to choke her with his tentacle arm, but Bill (Nathan Fillion from Castle) and other police officers rush in to rescue her. They point their guns at Grant, who flees. Suddenly, a powerful tentacle springs from the shapeless mass, gripping Grant before inoculating him with a deadly germ. Starla soon notices the symptoms of an insidious and disturbing metamorphosis in her husband.
