Now in its 14th year, it is one of South Africa's most popular soaps, regularly reaching more than 16 million people. With an estimated one in six adult South Africans living with HIV, prevention messages are central to its storylines. In this episode Zanele suspects her husband Dali of cheating on her. She confronts him about practising safe sex, and then talks it over with her mother. Dali is then persuaded to take an HIV test by his uncle, in order to try to save his marriage. DFID is currently supporting the roll out of the programme to 8 more countries across Southern Africa. |
