| Video Discription | Hey guys, I'm committed to sharing my knowledge about the law with you. In this video I do part one (1) of a series of videos on the sources of law. In this videos I speak about the Constitution as a source of law. We look at the preamble of the constitution; interpretation of the constitution and fundamental rights and freedoms. The video looks at separation of powers and mentions the powers of the legislature, judiciary and executive. We look at the purposive and generous interpretation approach of the constitution. The constitution includes rights to life, equality before the law, protection of law, freedom of expression, freedom of press, 'right to legal representation when interpreted'. As a child, I never had the opportunity to learn the law but now being trained in the law, I will simplify the law for you to understand and for you know your rights. These discussions will be applicable to persons from Commonwealth countries, particularly all persons from the Caribbean. I desire that we develop an immense love to learn the law as it applies to everyday life.
