To ease the situation, I set Jack up with my best friend, Ali, but she spread lies about me, causing tension with Ethan’s family. Jack’s obsession and tantrums made things worse. Despite the drama, Ethan and I grew closer while Ali and Jack’s relationship fell apart. Jack and I eventually reconciled as friends, but Ali and I never spoke again. The experience left me with anxiety and trust issues, but Ethan and I remained happily together.
