The appointment of the doctor comes after the Faculty Association wrote a letter to Dr Randeep Guleria, Director of the institute, requesting him to consider seniority while taking decisions regarding the appointment to the post of Academic Dean and other senior positions. Dr Sinha is reported to be the senior-most doctor in AIIMS.
