According to his family, he died peacefully in his sleep at his home in New Orleans, but the cause of his death was not immediately available. Jones had a 108-yard kickoff return touchdown to open the second half of the Ravens' Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers in 2013, the longest scoring play in the history of the Super Bowl. Jacoby also caught a touchdown in that game, becoming the first player to score a receiving touchdown and a return touchdown in a Super Bowl. That game was played in Jones’ hometown of New Orleans. But perhaps is most famous play is the one the helped Baltimore get to the Super Bowl, known as the Mile High Miracle. Jones leaves behind his mother, Emily London, and son known as Little Jacoby.
