The bus, which was carrying Ministry of Defence staff to work, travelled past the the Karte Naw neighborhood of Kabul at around 7am. A suicide bomber on foot set off his explosives belt near the approaching bus. "There are four dead. Two civilians, one of them female, and two military officers. It was a suicide bombing," defence ministry spokesman General Zahir Azimi told AFP. Another 22, including children, were injured. The Taliban quickly claimed responsibility for the attack. The militant group launched another suicide attack on a popular Lebanese restaurant in Kabul on January 17, killing at least 21 people.
