Every state around Texas is also facing looming capacity shortages thanks to the anti-energy policies coming from Washington, D.C., and if it was economical to build more transmission to other states, it would have already been done. This is simply a policy to force more wind and solar into the grid and to subject Texas to more burdensome federal and interstate regulations and inefficiencies. Texas can provide affordable and reliable electricity to its citizens by fixing its electricity market and undoing the market distortions and subsidies that overvalue wind and solar and undervalue dispatchable generation. |
