Yet, given the recent slowing of the Chinese economy, there is much uncertainty around the yuan. This event explores the complex landscape of the RMB reform, RMB internationalisation and its implications to domestic and international firms, and risk management strategies as the RMB internationalises. About the Speakers Sitao Xu is the Chief Economist (China) at the Economist Corporate Network. Prior to joining The Economist Group, Sitao was an economist at S&P, Standard Chartered, Societe Generale and ICBC. He has been a columnist and contributor for Caijing, 21st Century, YaleGlobal Magazine, the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Peking University, an M.A. in Economics from the University of Connecticut, and a M.S. in Finance from Boston College. He is an accomplished public speaker and lecturer. He appears regularly on CNBC, Bloomberg, CCTV and other channels as a commentator on China and Asia. Dr. Qiao Liu is a Professor of Finance for the Guanghua-Kellogg Executive MBA program. A renowned financial expert, Dr. Liu worked at McKinsey & Company and has spent over 15 years conducting innovative research on Asian financial markets. He earned his Ph.D. in Financial Economics from UCLA.
