Marvel revealed that the recently formed new Guardians of the Galaxy team is about to be tested by a massive threat. Beginning in June's Guardians of the Galaxy #15, a new villain will emerge. And issue #16 in July will kick off 'The Last Annihilation,' which will continue Al Ewing's Empyre story with an event that will see Guardians of the Galaxy crossover with S.W.O.R.D. and other Marvel Comics titles. The Guardians are now the cosmic Avengers, and they'll be facing a threat worthy of that designation. Meanwhile, following the events of the 'Hellfire Gala' arc, S.W.O.R.D. and new Guardian Doctor Doom will also be pulled into the action. Marvel Comics celebrates Aliens 35th anniversary with a new follow-up set in Hadley's Hope Newsarama.com Marvel Comics will mark the 35th anniversary of James Cameron's Aliens with a double-sized one-shot Aliens: Aftermath, which takes place at Hadley's Hope, the terraforming, research, and mining colony on the moon LV-426, the location of the classic sequel. "It's been 35 years since the tragedy of the Hadley's Hope colony, but what happened during that ill-fated venture has been shrouded in mystery," reads Marvel's description of the special. "A renegade crew of investigative journalists are heading towards the moon that Weyland-Yutani has wiped from all records, and they'll bring back the truth even if it kills them… and what remains in that bombed-out site will try to do just that." Aliens: Aftermath #1 is written by Benjamin Percy (Wolverine, X-Force) and drawn by Dave Wachter (Iron Fist: Heart of the Dragon) with a cover by Phil Noto. Marvel Relaunches Amazing Fantasy by Kaare Andrews cbr.com Marvel Comics is reviving its Amazing Fantasy title with a new series by writer/artist Kaare Andrews (Spider-Man: Reign, Spider-Man/Doctor Octopus: Year One). The new iteration of Amazing Fantasy will star Captain America, Spider-Man and Black Widow, who are plucked from different eras and dropped onto a mysterious island.
