| Video Discription | Originally this was made for the BBC by John Logie Baird to demostrate his (rather crap) TV system. It was broadcast live from 133 Long Acre, London, on the 14th July 1930. Obviously it was not recorded. In 1967 it was remade by Bill Elliot, a technician working at Granada TV (he had too much time on his hands). It used the same 1930's equipment and techniques and the 30 line output was recorded on audio tape recorder. (God Im boring myself) The original producer Lance Sieveking rerturned to produce the show, and brought with him the original artwork and the original 78rpm LP for music. The actors were students from the ILEA (Inner London Education Authority). Well wasn't the f*cking exciting and informative? |
