| Video Discription | The British Bull Dog revolver was a extremely popular pocket handgun, introduced by the British gun company Webley in Birmingham, England in the year 1872. It was chambered in various calibers, featured a 2.5-inch barrel, a five-round cylinder and was intended to be carried in a coat pocket. It featured a double action trigger and the design was copied by many different gun makers in Europe and the United States, because of its popularity. Although the Bulldog Revolver looks very strange by todays standards, it was extremely popular in its time and a big number where produced in the late 19th century. Some people even argue that the Bulldog was actually the gun that really “won the west”, because they say that as it was produced in bigger numbers than the US manufactured revolvers. Well, I don't know about that. You'll be the judge. Anyway, it was manufactured until the year 1917 and it is definitely one of the strangest looking firearms of all time.
