Scientist and renegade thinker Robert Lanza discusses his 'biocentric' view of the universe.
My thoughts on this issue (Wg Williams);
What is "cruelty"? Is "cruelty" no more than just an "illusion" higher beings' experience via "empathy" that has "evolved" over time within our genetics as it's by-product? Is "empathy" just a mere result of novel genetics and biochemical reactions that have evolved over millions of years or is it a glimpse of a real "truth" via some greater level of our non-material "consciousness"? Is there more truth revealed in higher levels of non-material consciousness? If not, is non-material consciousness just a more complex by-product of illusion evolved as a result of the "real" material world like from genetics? Can we find truth in the material world by using our non-material consciousness? Which is more real then, the material world or our non-material consciousness experiencing it?
If we see baby bunnies burning alive in a lightning-started forest fire or being eaten alive by a pack of wolfs, both seem as equally cruel deaths. We have an urge to try and stop or look away from both even though both are processes of nature at work such as we are. Why is our consciousness sometimes in rejection to nature when we are also a part of this nature; which is telling the truth, nature or our consciousness? Is the pain these bunnies endure just another another form of evolved biochemical by-product of the material world resulting in non-material illusory; or is it a deeper glimpse into a real non-material consciousness and of awareness of a true reality outside of mater?
Is higher non-material consciousness a more true view of reality and not a by-product of the material reality; or just a more convincing and complex genetic and biochemical non-material by-product obstructing us from the reality of the material world; or maybe it's just a neutral by-product of the material world?
Does science keep to one of these three options, if so, which option of the three is scientific method built on?:
If science is based on the first option; non-material consciousness is not a by-product but the arbiter of what is true and consciousness forms truth about our reality, such as "Quantum Physics" shows us (or we show it).
If science is based on the second option; non-material consciousness is merely a more detailed and complex biochemical by-product of illusion within the real material world, humans have no advantage to knowing reality but instead a bigger obstacle in "Materialism" being proven (Materialism becomes a self-defeating notion to posit via a non-material consciousness, a result illusion of materialism that denies any truth in/from the metaphysical).
If science is based on the third option; non-material consciousness as a by-product of the real material world is neural to finding or discovering what reality is, consciousness becomes no more of an advantage than unconsciousness discovering reality in our dreams or by an oak tree's discoveries from it's view of reality. Non-material consciousness is thus nullified, taking along with it science itself. ~Wg Williams |
