I saw His persona, I saw His person too,
I saw the blue body of His,
I saw the brilliant shining Chakra(Aazhi),
and the sounding conch,
On my cloud coloured Lord

**About the composition**
It was one rainy evening...The story goes that Poigai alwar, Boothath alwar, and Pei alwar, three of the twelve alwars of Vaishnava sampradayam, wished to visit Ulagalandha Perumal in Thirukoviloor district. However, when Poigai alwar arrived at the temple, it was closed for the day. Fortunately, a local landlord offered him a place to stay for the night, where he could rest.
The landlord had only one bed, and when Poigai alwar entered, he said "Oruvar Padukalam" or one person can lie down. Poigai alwar immediately went to sleep, grateful for the shelter.
Later, Boothath alwar arrived, and the landlord showed him the only room available, saying "Iruvar Amaralam" or two people could sit comfortably. Poigai alwar, who was already resting in the other room, kindly invited Boothath alwar to join him, and they both sat together.
Finally, Pei alwar arrived, and the landlord said, "Moovar Nirkalaam" or three people could stand comfortably. Poigai alwar and Boothath alwar stood up, welcoming Pei alwar to their humble abode.
Now, these were the pre-electricity days, so they did not have a lamp as it was anyways late night and couldn't see each other.
As Poigai alwar, Boothath alwar, and Pei alwar stood together, they felt a nudging sensation as if a fourth person was trying to join them. This surprised them since they knew that the room was too small for even three people, let alone a fourth unknown person.
Curiosity piqued, they wondered how someone could have entered without opening the door, especially late at night. They decided to find out who this mysterious fourth person was...
Poigai alwar began with the hymn "Vaiyam Thagaliya..."
Boothathalwar followed with his chant "Anbe thagaliya..."
On seeing the Lord, Peyazhwar sings "Thirukkanden..."
The Lord, sensing that his devotees were stranded due to bad weather and the closed temple doors, immediately rushed to be with them without delay.
