Der Österreicher schreibt damit mit dem Grello erneut Motorsport-Geschichte und holt nach dem ersten Rennsieg für Porsche am Norisring 2022 nun auch den ersten Meistertitel für Porsche in der DTM. Nach einem souveränen Start-Ziel-Sieg am Samstag fehlten ihm nur noch zwei Punkte und Preining jubelte gemeinsam mit Teamkollegen Olsen auch über den ersten DTM-Doppelsieg seines Rennstalls Manthey EMA.
