| Video Discription | I ran, unsure of where I was going but I couldn't be there for much longer. The gravel cut deep gashes into the soles of my bare feet, leaving a trail of blood behind me. I slowed as my feet touched the cold grass, the already accumulating dew cooling the burning sensation of my feet. I walked towards the swing set, barely paying attention to the girl next to me. "What were you running from?" I looked over to the girl next to me, her blonde hair laying delicately over her shoulders. Her blazing blue eyes filled with curiosity bore themselves deep into my skin. I shook my head and turned around, staring off ahead. "I knew Adalynn." she said, speaking softly, I turned towards her "She used to come over when you were out with Joe and play with my brother and I." I cringed at Joe's name, my hands balling into fist as tears began to blur my vision. "Where do you live?" I asked, keeping careful control of my voice. "Right next door." odd. "I've never seen you 'round before." She laughed lightly "You've never really been home." I bit my lip, she was right of course. She extended her hand and I took it "I'm Kat by the way." Kat.... oh yeah ! "Adalynn's mentioned you a few times before." Although, I did think she was talking about another imaginary friend at the time. I thought of the total times i'd left Addie alone while I was on a date. "You've only seen her once." I half-asked half-said "Yeah," she started, a wide grin spreading across her face "But she was an amazing little girl." i nodded in agreement. She sure was, She sure was. |
