Betsy adapted the design to better fit her needs, with the help from her brother. Lifestyle Design Service drew the final plans with alterations & additions. Betsy downsized to make things simpler. The house is only 950 square feet, but feels bigger thanks to the vaulted ceilings, pocket doors and the natural light coming in from the skylights. Betsy shipped in white ceder shakes from Canada for the siding. Her kitchen counter tops were hand crafted locally in Maryville from black ash, as well as the mantle, made from Walnut. Wood from the fence on her previous property was used for the range hood and was also whitewashed for the wooden wall behind the master bed. Welcome to Betsy's little house! |
