This special exclusive interview with George, his collaborator pianist McCoy Tyner and producer Tommy LiPuma was put together to satisfy the insatiable requests from the media for some insight from George about his newest release at the time, "Tenderly", where he returns to his jazz roots. The program on this promo CD is set up in two segments so it comes with a break where I included a promo song recorded exclusively for The Soul of Amsterdam by my friend singer Marva King. The song is based on the clasic "Baby, This Love I Have," originally recorded by Minnie Riperton 1975. The songs include: "You Don't Know What Love Is", "Stella By Starlight", "Stardust", "At The Mambo In", "Here, There And Everywhere", "This Is All I Ask", and "Tenderly". Enjoy! |
