| Video Discription | To be more specific most of these are deadswaps ,i.e. fire weapon, (ultra)quickly switch to a different weapon and then back to the original one. These are kinda hard to do at that speed but there's a trick I use, I'll explain it elsewhere with keybinds. Well, granted I'm actually doing Turbo Overkill videos, I'm not 100% sure Now the benefits of using deadswaps are honestly pretty marginal at that speed, if there are any (topic for another video - or rather description). Rocket Launcher is a different story since it's way more versatile thanks to its AOE and can really make the most of it. The reason I'm saying this is that regular quickswaps between different weapons, contrarily from what you may think, are extremely easy in comparison to how overpowered they are. Why is that? Because in this game you can create and bind your own weapon groups. So imagine I want to quickswap boomer and telefragger: I create a group with only these weapons and bind them to whatever key. Then I literally just spam left click and that key and it's done. Since this game has at most 4 weapons you want to ultra quickswap, it's not even like you need that many keys at all. For example I created the combos waster-boomer, waster-telefragger, boomer-telefragger and that is it. Not really struggling with decision making either when I have to pick which combination to spam at a given moment. These weapons don't even feel that different at this swapping speed. On paper it may sound like an interesting idea, but between the ultra quickswitch and the relatively small number of weapons, the weapon groups system just dumbs it all down. By the way, it's pretty easy even if you don't weapon group. Just spam left click and weapon keys, it's going to work anyway since there aren't proper timings you need to obey. DOOM Eternal quick swapping is still goated in that regard. I also don't really like that you're going to be playing roughly 70% of the game with a slower swapping speed, then you get gifted this thing. Finally, there's not a single non boss enemy that wouldn't just die in half a second under all of that, and it's not like bosses fare that well themselves. Is this supposed to balance out murder machine? Even turbo time made a better job at that honestly. The problem with murder machine is that you get 1shot by a lot of stuff even at full hp and armor. I don't think the optimal solution is to have you 1shot enemies faster than they can 1shot you. |
