The track was pre-released on January 21 ahead of the full album release on March 25. Peaceful Piano Moods is a seamless blend of classical and contemporary piano repertoire carefully curated to provide continuous and calm listening as you journey through the four times of day: morning, afternoon, evening and night. ‘Of Twilight Skies’ appears in the "Night" section. Chad Lawson comments about 'Of Twilight Skies': “Nighttime is when it is so difficult to shut down the mind. We’ve gone through a day and when we lie there, we’re just constantly thinking of what we didn’t get to do. I wrote the song specifically with the idea of putting the listener adrift”.
