| Video Discription | In this video I go over how genetic mapping is completed in a three-point testcross. To explain it I work through an example data set and go through step-by-step for how to solve these sorts of problems. Three-point testcrosses are very useful compared to two-point because only one cross needs to be completed to map three genes. I also discuss interference of double crossovers and how to calculate the expected number of double crossovers based on recombination frequency. To do this I calculated the coefficient of coincidence and determined the percent of expected double crossovers that were not observed. If you have any questions, let me know in the comments.
