There are 7 primary types of laziness and I guarantee that everyone struggles with at least one of these types of laziness. They hurt our productivity, self esteem, self confidence, self worth, belief in ourselves, limit us, and generally lower efficiency and effectiveness in life itself.
In this video, we'll look over these 7 types of laziness, their root cause, how to overcome them, and how to finally start getting stuff done. You'll learn to how stop procrastination in its tracks, while raising your productivity. So if you ever searched for how to stop being lazy and unmotivated or how to stop being lazy and procrastinating, you've found what you've been looking for.
Below are the 7 types of laziness
#1 - Confusion - These people say "I don't know what to do" and it's something that perfectionists struggle with a lot. The solution to this is to simply get started and take some sort of positive action.
#2 - Neurotic Fear - These people say "I just can't" and will do just about anything except for what needs doing. Again, the solution to this type of laziness is to simply take action.
#3. - Fixed Mindset - These people are afraid of failure and looking stupid. They're afraid to make mistakes and this is a fixed mindset which needs to be turned into a growth mindset. A great book you can read is titled "Mindset" by Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D.
#4 - Lethargy - People who feel lethargic or say they're too tired or don't have the energy to do something, simply trained their mind to this. It's not necessarily true. Of course there are times when we are tired but most of the time it's a type of laziness. To overcome this, you have to push yourself to do one more thing and retrain your brain to work with you.
#5 - Apathy - People who feel apathetic often say they don't care about anything but the truth is that they do because we all care about something. This is why we need to find that something we care about any do it. Then use rewards to keep us moving forward.
#6 - Regret - People who say that they're too old to get started on something or that it's too late for them, are going to feel a lot of regret. In fact they already do because regret comes from missing opportunities. We all know that the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago but the second best time is NOW!
#7 - Identity - Laziness can become an identity if you're not careful. This is a tough one because once a person identifies as a lazy person, it's very difficult to break the cycle because they believe it to be so. They often state that they're a lazy person and words have power. If you're not a spiritual type of person, science talks about confirmation bias which basically states that our brain will look for things to prove us right and in this case, confirm to us that we really are a lazy person.
