| Video Discription | One of 26 rare and endangered Arabian leopards held in Taiz Zoo, where the carnivores are kept all their lives in tiny concrete cells without bedding, with no room to roam, live, or display their natural behaviour. Many animals have recently starved to death in this zoo, including one leopard which was left to starve to the point it cannibalized its mate, possibly for a photo opportunity. A further body was found behind the zoo amid the garbage, with lions, and other dead animals. There are less than 200 left in the world, and possibly only 50 in the wild across their natural habitat ranging the high mountains of southern Arabia. Mainly Oman and a few in Yemen.
