In today’s episode, we’re shining the spotlight another beloved TV character Phillip Banks of “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.” Affectionately referred to as Uncle Phil by lead character, Will Smith, Phillip Banks is the stoic and iconic patriarch of the affluent Banks family who lovingly welcomed a displaced Will into their home and became like a surrogate father to him as the seasons progressed. Played by the incredible James Avery, Uncle Phil entertained and inspired a generation, becoming a household name all over the world and remained a popular and revered character since the show ended in 1996 after completing nearly 150 episodes. He became a parental figure to all of us, teaching us important life lessons that we’ll take with us as we continue our lives into the future. It’s for all these reasons and more that we have chosen to honor the late and great James Avery’s best character with his very own Quick Vid. And as always, thank you for watching.
