| Video Discription | Unemployment is rampant in Bihar. The state has seen a steady stream of people migrating to other states in search for employment and better job opportunities. The lack of jobs has prompted people to travel to different parts of the country and even look for employment in foreign countries. The Quint camped outside the passport office in Patna to get a sense of the aspirations of the working class. What we found was disillusionment. On an averag, 1500 people, most of them young men, visit the passport office daily. Many say, they wouldn’t want to go out of Bihar if they didn’t HAVE to. |
