The term “Unus Mundus” describes the concept of an underlying unified reality from which everything emerges and to which everything returns. At first hearing the musical language of the piece is similar to Joep Beving´s previous work, yet both melodically and harmonically the composition evolves into otherworldly and ambiguous spheres. Contemporary Dutch composer and pianist Joep Beving creates genuinely relaxing and contemplative neo-classical music with a broad and immediate appeal. Joep Beving describes it as “simple music for complex emotions”.
