With 40 years of distinguished service in the Armed Forces, General Dwivedi, an alumnus of Sainik School, Rewa (MP), was commissioned into the Regiment of Jammu & Kashmir Rifles in 1984. He has a balanced command and staff experience across the Northern, Eastern, and Western theatres in various operational environments. Assuming leadership at a time of dynamic global geo-strategic changes and pronounced security challenges due to technological advancements and the evolving nature of modern warfare, General Dwivedi's primary focus will be on operational preparedness to counter security threats to the nation. He will also address non-traditional security challenges, enhancing national defense. General Dwivedi's extensive experience and proven track record in planning and executing unexpected operations are notable. He has held critical appointments and played a pivotal role in addressing grey zone threats in national security.
