No worries though because a helpful local swoops in like a travel angel and recommends a local hidden gem - Sandy Bay Beach, which turns out to be one of the best Trincomalee travel places and for me, should be one of the top 10 tourist places in Sri Lanka. As I stumble upon this secret spot, my jaw drops at the sight of crystal clear waters and sand so soft it feels like walking on clouds. To celebrate this serendipitous find, I couldn't resist indulging in a refreshing Lion beer right there on the beach. Ah, the joys of accidental discoveries! 🍻🐾 But curiosity knows no bounds! Is this truly the best beach? Time for a beach-hopping adventure, which takes me to Salli Beach. Off I go, chatting with more friendly locals along the way, including one who spills the beans on their journey from Sri Lanka to the UK and Canada.
