| Video Discription | COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Last weekend saw two mental health crisis incidents that made headlines in Columbus. On Saturday, police arrested 41-year-old Michael Oswalt after an hours-long standoff.According to court documents,Oswalt was involved in an accident with multiple vehicles near I-70 EB and I-71 SB. Detectives said Oswalt was in the midst of "a mental health crisis" and said he began intentionally throwing objects at officers and other vehicles. On Sunday, Columbus Police got in a shootout with a burglary suspect near OSU's campus. After an hours-long SWAT standoff, officers found the suspect,Asante Taj Omar Miller, dead. CPD has not said if Miller shot himself or if he was shot by an officer. Columbus Police confirmed that officers from the department's Mobile Crisis Response Unit (MCR) were at Saturday's scene. However, they could not confirm whether officers from MCR were at Sunday's standoff.
