Joyce’s leadership style has always put staff wellbeing front and centre, investing considerable time with her team to provide advice, mentorship and transparent communication. Joyce’s contribution to a sustainable future for the University has resulted in the University to continue to operate successfully with minimal impact to its clients; morale to be maintained in very challenging times and introduction of new methods of leadership and team workings. The VC’s Excellence Awards for Professional Staff recognise and celebrate the vital contributions in collaboration, innovation, customer service, values-based leadership, reconciliation and health and safety that our professional staff make to Curtin.
