| Video Discription | Heavy rains made for dangerous and difficult driving conditions in Newark. The Newark Fire Department said they have had to rescue numbers of people from blocks all across the city Monday, CBS 2′s Elise Finch reported. One woman reportedly did not see a manhole cover and fell into a manhole, Finch reported. She was rescued with few injuries. Cars have been getting stuck in their cars all morning, and drivers have been trying to make it through water-covered roadways and have failed half way through, Finch reported. People were also trying to scoop water from their vehicles in an attempt to move. During the heaviest rain, four cars became stuck on Martin Luther King Boulevard under the Broad Street train tracks. "There's a pretty big dip but I guess it was filled with water. As soon as I made that turn, I hit like a wall and the water came right over the dashboard...over the hood and I tried to just go...I punched it to get through it and it just didn't make it and that was it. I was stuck," one driver told Finch. At one point, the fire department had to bring out a boat and rescue several stranded motorists.
