| Video Discription | The Sudarshana Chakra is a spinning, disk-like superweapon with 108 serrated edges used by Lord Vishnu. Its shape is of a circle with a sharp outer edge. The earliest references to the chakram come from the Indian epics Mahabharata and Ramayana where the Sudarshana Chakra is the weapon of the god Vishnu. After its release, the enemy is annihilated and it returns to the attacker. Even after releasing it, it remains within the control of the attacker. It travels along the path of zero-stress nature and can reach anywhere within a moment. When an obstruction is posed by the enemy, the speed of the discus is augmented. This is called the rhansa speed. There are various mythological stories narrating how the divine weapon β Sudarshan Chakra came into being. Some believe that it was created by the combined energies of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. Other scriptures state that it was given to Lord Vishnu by Guru Brihaspati. There is one popular mythological story that describes the origin of Vishnu Sudarshan Chakra. Lord Shiva gave Vishnu the Sudarshan Chakra that would help Vishnu to conquer all his enemies.
