Translation 1:
Śrī Śāradā Pañcakam
The one who impedes death, crush cravings and bestows wishes,
The one who is like the crest jewel of Śukrācārya, Nārada and other great saints,
The one who revels in literature and music,
The one who confers the knowledge of Truth that destroys fear and worries that result out of worldly desires,
I meditate upon that supreme Goddess Śrī Śāradā who is the embodiment of compassion.
The one who shines brilliantly with a glorious crown fitted with circlets of pearls,
The one who radiates like the moonlight of a dark night and who is majestic with her elegance,
The one who is charming on account of her tranquil appearance and the one who is recourse to my intellect,
I meditate upon that supreme Goddess Śrī Śāradā who is the embodiment of compassion.
The one who is the eternal personification of all rightful course of actions and who generates the nectar of wisdom called Siva Awareness,
The one who is worshipped by Gods and demons alike and who is venerated by all the sacred scriptures,
The one who has the all the written works as her ornaments and who is worshipped by those who are of composed minds,
I meditate upon that supreme Goddess Śrī Śāradā who is the embodiment of compassion.
The one who is seated on the pristine lotus that has bloomed in the waters of devout mind,
The great mother who is adulated by Indra and other demi gods and grants salvation,
The one who has the lotus-like holy feet, revered by the wise and venerable Sankara,
I meditate upon that supreme Goddess Śrī Śāradā who is the embodiment of compassion.
The one grants boons for ultimate salvation and whose feet is worshipped by Viṣṇu and Śiva,
The one who is praised by the holy sages like Vyāsa and Gautama and the one who is saluted poets like Māgha and Bhāsa,
The one who has the sacred form which can lead to the knowledge of unknown Truth and who is the symbol of annihilation of duality,
May She grant me the clarity of mind and Self-knowledge to realise the supreme Brahman.

Translation 2:
O Goddess Sri Sarada, majestic and serene,
Death's conqueror, desire's destroyer, wish-granter supreme.
Like a radiant jewel, shining bright and fair,
Adorned with pearls, your glory beyond compare.
In literature and music, your beauty reigns,
Truth's revealer, fear's dispeller, breaker of worldly chains,
With a tranquil countenance, your elegance shines,
A guiding light for intellect, in darkness divine.
Embodiment of virtue, eternal and true,
Siva Awareness' nectar, for all to pursue.
Worshipped by gods and demons, scriptures sing your praise,
Composed minds adore you, with devotion's sacred ways.
Seated on the lotus, in devout minds' waters deep,
Great Mother, salvation's grantor, Indra and gods do keep.
Lotus-like feet, revered by glorious Sankara the wise,
Salvation's boons, granted by your compassionate surprise.
Vishnu and Shiva worship your feet, in reverence true,
Sages like Vyasa and Gautama, poets like Magha and Bhasa, too.
Your sacred form, a symbol of duality's demise,
Grant me clarity of mind, Self-knowledge to realize the supreme Brahman's prize.
May your compassion illuminate my path, O Goddess divine,
And lead me to the ultimate truth, forever sublime. |
