This Basti is not only one but there can be seen more than 5 within 3 kms zone. On the other hand there can be seen luxurious residence within the span of 2 kms from Patrachar Timarpur. I personally have met many aspirants residing in slums who really want to do something in life because of the absence of the basic needs and guidance most of them fail to get out of this lifestyle. It is very easy to say that these slums are illegal and must be removed but in practice what can be the alternative? They are humans after-all and I guess this should be the enough reason for all of us to understand about their basic needs and requirements. So today I brought this topic in front of you So today I will take you inside the "Patrachar" slum. So let's get started. So let's start our tour with Patrachar slum's common toilet. This is the common toilet where people where there are two compartment one is for men and other is for women. A warning is placed here and it says Please wear mask Without mask you are not allowed in here. The compartment you are seeing there is for women and the one I am going to saw you is for men. Here you can see the washrooms are there in line. Common people come here and use it as they don't have in their house. So basically this is the toilet seat which is Indian styled. Outside you get to see a ruined plot, I don't know before what it was used for but now-days it is being used as a park. As you can see how badly this place needs cleaning. So let me give you a tour of inside streets, and show how does this slum look like from inside. which is very important to know. As you can see the streets are very narrow from inside. If we start counting these small houses you feel countless houses are placed here. Very small houses can be seen here. People are working outside their homes and I observed many hand pumps in every street. Every street has two to three hand pumps. As sewer system is not there you can see the small drainage system in here. As you are seeing they don't have staircases in their houses they use ladders to get to the roof. and fix what they have to. from here as well in the slum. Left side there's one School and in right there are government flats. The main objective behind this video is to give you a tour of this slum from inside and want to spread the awareness that we have countless slum around us in Delhi on which no one talk about. Now what should be done with there slums is the question, should it be there or not? can it be converted to the small flats? could they get a better lifestyle?
