| Video Discription | Packrafting the FLOODED Waveney Valley. For many years I've wanted to paddle my local river, the river Waveney when it has been in flood. This winter the Waveney Valley has flooded early. Normally it floods every year from December to February but after all the rain from Storm Babet it burst it's banks early. The Waveney valley is a flood plain and people are used to it flooding. The land in the valley basin is marsh and mostly used to graze cattle. The river Waveney is tidal from Ellingham and as mentioned before it will flood at least once a year. So I decided to get out and packraft the Waveney above the village of Geldeston. Putting the packraft in at Three Rivers Campsite it was a little tricky paddling the MRS Microraft upstream due to the amount of water trying to get to the sea. The Pub in the video is The Locks Inn.
