| Video Discription | Super cyclonic storm Michaung, over the Bay of Bengal, triggered torrential rain over Chennai overnight on December 3 and continued well into the morning. Rain disrupted the start of the week, with water seeping into homes and cutting off power supply. Those who managed to step out, had a harrowing time wading through the flooded roads. With Meenambakkam receiving rainfall of 25 cm in 24 hours, flights were disrupted. While the Metro rail was functioning, stations witnessed long queues. Emergency services were called upon after several trees across the city were uprooted. The cyclone is likely to move parallel along the north T.N. and south Andhra Pradesh coasts and make landfall between Nellore and Machilipatnam by forenoon on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
