| Video Discription | Out and about Walking in Wells Today, we visit England's smallest city - Wells. Wells is located in the Mendip district of Somerset and also 21 miles south-east of Weston-super-Mare, 22 miles south-west of Bath and 23 miles south of Bristol. It has a population of around 12,000. Wells is well known for several attractions and to name but just a few are the cathedral which was built between 1175 & 1490, the Bishops Palace and also my main reason for wanting to visit Wells the incredible residential street Vicars Close. The Close is owned by Wells Cathedral & building of the houses started in the 1400's. We start the walk from outside the Cathedral then a short walk into Vicars close and back to the Cathedral then onto Market Place then finish off with a walk around some of the perimeter of the Bishops Palace. #walkingtour #morningwalk #wells |
