Registration from 1 July to 15th July 2024. https://ukpgadmission.samarth.ac.in Admission Open for 2024-25 The Uttarakhand State Higher Education Post Graduation & Professional Programme Admission Portal - 2024 is being introduced for academic session 2024-25 admission process in Uttarakhand State Universities (Kumaun University Nainital, Soban SIngh Jeena University Almora and Sridev Suman Uttarakhand University Badshahithol, Tehri Garhwal) into all those Programmes in which required minimum eligibility is graduation. The Uttarakhand State Higher Education Admission Portal will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the state, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities. State Universities Act, 1973 now adopted by Uttarakhand State) with the merger of two Government Colleges, D.S.B. Government P.G.College, Nainital and Almora Government P.G. College, Almora. These Constituent Colleges were later elevated to the status of University Campuses by Government order No. E-1861/GS dated 14/15 March, 1994. Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University Badshahi Thaul is situated on the way between Chamba and New Tehri at a distance of 3 km from Chamba, one of the brightest spots of district Tehri Garhwal, at an elevation of 1676 m from sea level. This town, situated on Delhi-Gangotri national highway, offers one of the most spectacular view of snow capped Himalaya and enchanting Bhagirathi Valley. The university campus is situated at an elevation of 1750 m on a ridge facing to the east, surrounded by dense oak and pine tree forest. It is at a distance of 8 km from New Tehri, a newly established master-planned township at an elevation of 1900 m and district headquarter of Tehri Garhwal. Soban Singh Jeena University (hereafter referred to as SSJ University), Almora, a residential cum affiliating University, came into existence on 14 August, 2020,vide notification No. 168/XXXVI(3)/2020/77/2019 dated June 22, 2020 under the Uttarakhand Act No. 19 of 2020,as a result of persistent demands from the residents of the interior regions for a seperate University. It was carved out of Kumaun University,Nainital of which it had been a campus for more than four decades, with colleges of districts Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat and Pithoragarh falling under its jurisdiction. It has been named after renowned lawyer turned political leader and social reformer of the region, Sri Soban Singh Jeena. 15th of July 2024 is the last date for registration of PG Registration.
