These music distributors, like Tunecore and DistroKid, help control the quality and information provided from the songwriters so everything looks good. Also, the music distributor you go with will collect your royalties for you and pay you money you make from Spotify, Apple Music, etc. 🙋🏽♀️ Do I have to pay to upload music to Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, Deezer, etc? Yes and No. Most traditionally, you pay a fixed fee to a music distributor and they will get your music uploaded. In return, they collect your royalties and give you 100% of them.
