| Video Discription | Today we don’t think of the Middle East as Christian. We assume Christianity died out after the rise of Islam. But that’s not the whole story. The groups of Christians that have been present in the Middle East all along are groups we’re not familiar with in the West, such as the Church of the East and the Oriental Orthodox Church. We don’t know their history, and we have mistakenly branded them as heretical. Thus, we’ve become less aware of their history. Thus, there have always been Christians in the Middle East.
