Jun 11, 2021. My route from the northern end of Raven Lake along an unofficial, yet marked, trail to near Muskrat Pond in the Wilderness Lakes Tract of the southern Five Ponds Wilderness Area in the western Adirondack Park. Unable to find a side trail, planned for exiting the area the next day, the video ends prior to reaching Muskat Pond, with impending rain and distant thunder requiring a hustle to Muskrat Pond without any video. This video is the sixteenth and final part of my hike from the western end of Willy's Lake to the southern shore of Muskrat Pond on the fifth and penultimate day of a trip searching for breeding bird activity for the New York State Breeding Bird Atlas III.
Apologies for this video being more shaky than normal, which was due to either a loose chest harness and/or increasing darkness as storm clouds move into the area.

Note: This video is in a raw form, that is, it has only been lightly edited, annotated and/or altered. The footage remains mostly as I experienced it while bushwhacking through the Adirondack Park backcountry, just as nature intended it. Be forewarned, loud noises will arise from branches, hands, hiking poles, etc. hitting the camera.
