The number of condos and townhomes for sale in Florida surged by 73% in February 2023 compared to a year earlier (and that was after inventory doubled year-over-year in February 2022). On top of that the months’ supply nearly doubled (increasing by 97% YOY). In addition, the number of new listings for condos skyrocketed yet pending home sales fell (i.e. new supply is far outpacing homebuying demand). In today’s video, I share the latest developments including condo/townhome prices in Florida and foreclosures. In addition, I discuss the reason why the condo market in Florida is under duress.
