| Video Discription | THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A sub-inspector in Kollam, who complained against a woman of Anchal in an alleged honey-trap incident last week, is now evading investigation without giving statement. The woman levelled serious allegation against the policeman soon after he lodged the complaint. It is not clear whether he is not ready to give his statements due to the woman’s revelation. The woman revealed that the SI had directed her to honey trap top officials. The investigating officials have taken his failure to turn up for investigation seriously in the light of the woman’s allegations against him. The SI was summoned two times as part of the investigation but he did not turn up. First time, the policeman informed his inconvenience, citing duty time. He also didn’t appear before the investigation team after receiving the second summons. The special investigation team will now submit a report to the SP, pointing out these things. Last week a Honey-trap case was registered against the woman by the Thiruvananthapuram Pangode police on the basis of the complaint lodged by the sub inspector of Kollam Rural Police. The police officer complained that the woman extorted lakhs of rupees from him after establishing a friendship over the phone. He also alleged that she started blackmailing him further that resulted in his mental agony. The Neyyattinkara DySP was in charge of the investigation. Audio clippings of the woman threatening some police officers and their relatives had surfaced earlier. This caused great embarrassment to the Kerala police force. Even senior police officials fell under the shadow of suspicion. Following this, the case was handed over to a special team. However, the team decided to take a detailed statement of the cop as there was no clarity in the complaint. The woman had lodged a sexual harassment complaint against the same sub inspector at the museum station two years ago. The woman later withdrew the complaint. However, the sub inspector had to undergo disciplinary action following the complaint then.
