| Video Discription | The World Health Organization, the Pan American Health Organization and the Government of Barbados convened the SIDS Ministerial Conference on NCDs and mental health in Bridgetown, Barbados on 14-16 June 2023. The aim of the Conference was to reaffirm political commitments for NCDs and mental health by raising awareness of the challenges and possible solutions to scale up multisector actions on NCDs and mental health; to stimulate increased domestic action and international cooperation; and to agree on specific actions that will operationalize commitments expressed in an outcome document negotiated by SIDS Member States. On 15 June 2023, the co-chairs leading the negotiation process of the outcome document, Ambassadors of Fiji and Barbados, formally launched the outcome document: 2023 Bridgetown Declaration on NCDs and mental health. In this video, Ambassadors Luke Daunivalu (Fiji) and Ambassador Matthew Wilson (Barbados) present the 2023 Bridgetown Declaration to WHO Director-General.
